2013

This time of year, as we step into a brand new year, is always a time of reflection and change for many people. The possibilities are endless. We start with a blank slate, and can make the changes we have always wanted to make. 2012 has been a very hard year for me. I have done some thinking, and there are some things that I am going to do to make 2013 a much better year. My New Year's resolutions, as it were. Here they are:
Resolution 1: Take more pictures. I am horrible at taking pictures (Zach is always having to tell me to take out my camera and take pictures at events. That is sad.). I want to become better at taking pictures and having those memories in stone.
Resolution 2: Blog once a week. I have neglected my blog, and I really really want to get back in to it.
Resolution 3: Sing. For various reasons I have had to quit singing lessons. Not only that but this year I have actually found myself neglecting the "artsy fartsy" side of myself, and because of that I have lost a lot of balance in my life. I have felt off lately, and I realized that there is a reason for it. I have been neglecting a very large portion of who I am, and when you push down and repress a large portion of who you are there is bound to be balance lost, and I intend to get that back this year. I am going to start voice lessons again this year, and I am also going to audition for Les Mis up at Pioneer Theater Company this year (Eponine is one of my DREAM roles!!!)
Resolution 4: I am going to begin my career in mental health counseling. I will be done with my internship at the end of February. This will be the culmination of three very long years of work to get me where I am today.
Resolution 5: I want to be in a position to buy a house by the end of the year.
Resolution 6: hang out with my friends more. I know some pretty cool people, and I haven't seen most of them in a long, long time. That needs to change this year!!

There you are, cyberland. That is my review of 2012-2013 in a nutshell. What are your resolutions?
